Licensed Clinical Social Worker
San Francisco-based therapist providing compassionate psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, life transitions, and other challenges
Therapy for individuals
If you are seeking a safe space to explore your feelings and better understand yourself, individual therapy may be a good choice for you. Many people come to therapy feeling distressed, stuck or confused. My role is to guide you toward a deeper understanding of the concerns that bring you into therapy. Much of that relies on developing a trusting and attuned therapeutic relationship between us, which I facilitate through providing a warm and accepting atmosphere and aligning with your goals for change. As you become more aware of your own feelings, thoughts, and patterns, you may feel more hopeful and empowered to make changes in your life.I work with adults of a broad range of ages and identities. Working together, we can compassionately explore concerns related to:
Anxiety and panic
Addiction and substance abuse
Depression
Loss, grief, and life transitions
Relationship issues
Relational and attachment trauma
About Me
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #103508) and psychotherapist in San Francisco. I hold an MSW from USC and a BA in Psychology from Brown University. I completed a two-year post-graduate training program in depth-oriented psychodynamic therapy at the Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley. I also have experience providing trauma-informed intensive outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment. My approach to therapy emphasizes developing a secure therapeutic relationship, attending to emotional experiences in session, and gaining insight into what parts of current issues may be rooted in past relational injuries and sociocultural trauma. My interpersonal style is non-judgmental, receptive, and empathic. I welcome you to come as you are.
